Janneke Swinkels (MurMur animation) will dive into the making of Murmuration, the first stop motion short by Janneke and Tim Frijsingers. Alongside working on commissioned 2D animation and illustration, it took them eight years to realize this project with no experience.
During her talk, Janneke will explain how to start such a project: writing a script, finding your look and feel in a new technique, making puppets, props, and sets and, how they gathered just the right people for the project they always wanted to make and everything they learned along the way.
Murmuration is screened during the Imagine Everything competition on Playgrounds International Film Festival. While you’re at Natlab, you can even take a closer look at the puppets and props of the film, right at the PIFF expo!
