MUSIC VIDEO NIGHT

PLAYGROUNDS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2026

17 April = free entrance with a valid TAD wristband (as long as seats are available)

Music videos are still very much alive and kicking as a genre where cutting edge creativity happens. Holders of unique aesthetic with their own particular beauty and artistry, promos often provide spring-boards for their creators, paving their ways into the commercial and film industries.

Whether interactive or linear, with big or low budgets, encapsulating a story or a feeling, music videos all share their purpose of showcasing music in the most engulfing way possible. Join us for a special program that takes a close look at this very particular art form.
We will welcome internationally acclaimed music video creators: Raman Djafari, Fons Schiedon, Renee Schuurmans, Monsieur Pimpant to have a close look at the current status of the music video industry. Moderator for the evening will be Noa Johannes.

And of course we couldn’t miss the opportunity of showcasing an eye candy selection of music video that you can admire in their full glory on the big screen!

Available tickets

Raman Djafari is an illustrator, animator and filmmaker working in both 2D and 3D, from Berlin, Germany. Raman has directed music videos for artists from across the globe, like Elton John, Dua Lipa, Coldplay and Ashnikko, as well as having worked with clients like Adult Swim, Spotify and The New Yorker. Currently they are
represented as a director by the London based animation studio BlinkInk.
