CYCLE

PLAYGROUNDS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2026

15, 16 & 17 April = free entrance with a valid TAD wristband (as long as seats are available)

The Netherlands | 15′ | immersive installation (VR experience)

Cycle is a philosophical 150minute VR experience that reveals the hidden patterns of life through dance, animation, and music. Amit Palgi and Matunda Groenendijk have created a poetic dance experience that plays with the feelings of wonder and fear that life’s duality can evoke. Because life can be simultaneously unbearable and beautiful. We believe it’s important to remind people that within this duality, we have a choice in how we view life, and that we’re not so different from each other.

Cycle was created with dance at its core. Amit’s physical exploration of the moving body challenged the team’s perception of the life cycle pattern. It led to the artistic choices in interaction, visual design and space.

This experience invites the audience to sense both your own perception of a life cycle, and the connection to cosmic patters. It is a visually endless space that magnifies the tiniest cycles we go through: our daily life, death and the grandness of birth. By experiencing Cycle, the audience gets the chance to connect with their (inner) cycles. How do you shape your Cycle?
