Few things change faster and more dramatically than the current creative landscape. From understanding new technologies, with pros and cons, discovering new tools and opportunities while always staying on top of your game, can be exhausting and overwhelming. At times you might not know in which direction to steer your career into.

So how do other industry professionals do it? If you’re curious to discover smart approaches to tackle your career in the current creative landscape, come find out the perspectives of Loish, Jama Jurabaev and Danar Worya on the matter, in this Convoloot panel moderated by Spiridon Giannakis!

Famous for being one of the concept artists involved in developing Aloy, the protagonist of the epic adventure Horizon Zero Dawn from Guerrila, Dutch digital artist Loish has also collaborated with Coca-Cola, 21 Draw, Submarine Channel and Sony among others. Throughout time she has also proved her savviness in terms  of navigating the muddy waters of social media, creating and managing communities and overall getting a good grasp of the changes within the industry.

Originally from Tajikistan, Jama Jurabaev is a professional concept artist, illustrator and a matte painter currently working for movie and game industry in London, UK. Among the notable projects he contributed to are Starwars Series: Mandalorian, Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ready Player One, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, as well as BBC`s Prehistoric Planet among many others.

Danar Worya is a Rotterdam based concept artist known for his work on Horizon: Zero Dawn at Guerrilla. He has also collaborated with companies such as One Pixel Brush, Infinity Ward and Naughty Dog. Among Danar’s more recent projects are Shazam 2, Horizon: Forbidden West, Uncharted: Lost Legacy, The last of us II and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

The discussion is going to be moderated by longtime Playgrounds friend, creative consultant, art book designer and publisher Spiridon Giannakis. He has been working in print media since 2006. Starting in 2017 he has helped artists, like Even Mehl Amundsen, Abigail Larson, Bjorn Hurri, Bastien Deharme, and many more, to publish their art books managing their crowdfunding campaigns. His latest project is Convoloot, a platform entirely focused on conversations and interviews with industry professionals and community leaders.
