London based animation studio The Line, was founded by artists and filmmakers who believe that every creative project starts with a good idea. The studio is run by animators meaning that their priority is always the quality of the work. They tackle different kinds of projects from small independent jobs to large commercials and everything else in between but sharing one common feature: an exceptional story!
During The Art Department we’ll be joined by Wesley Louis and JuanPe Arroyo. Wesley is director and founding partner of The Line, best known for his action packed directorial style. Working with clients from Riot Games to Blizzard Entertainment, Wes’ work is instantly recognizable in its high octane style with anime influence. His most famous work includes ‘Azuki’ and ‘Transformers’. He is also the creator of ‘The Mighty Grand Piton’ an animated feature film in development set in St Lucia.
JuanPe is a director, story artist and animator with extensive experience across long form series including award winning shows like Cartoon Network’s ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’. His directing credits at THE LINE range from Clio Winner ‘Acura: Chiaki’s Journey II’ to ‘The Great British Bake Off 2023 Promo’ which earned a British Animation Award in A Commercial’.
On stage, Wesley and JuanPE will talk about The Line’s best work of 2024.
