With headquarters in Amsterdam, London, Antwerp and Los Angeles, Submarine is an Emmy award- winning production company that develops and produces feature films, scripted series, documentaries, animation, and transmedia projects. Submarine’s animation branch is the premier animation studio in the Netherlands and Belgium creating visually compelling stories for both the big and small screen since 2000. From the heart of Amsterdam we use a mixture of traditional 2D techniques, stop-motion and CGI to bring our characters and worlds to life. With our in-house team of talented artists and production staff we create original material and animation in all varieties – adult animation, children’s films, series, hybrids and animated documentaries.
The company has produced animation series such as two seasons of the Amazon Prime series Undone by Bojack Horseman creators Kate Purdy and Raphael Bob Waksberg, and Richard Linklater’s film Apollo 10½: A Space Age Childhood on Netflix.
