Form Play creates characterful animations and illustrations using playful storytelling. The studio specialises in frame animation, often hand-drawn. Since launching in 2017 they worked with brands such as Nickelodeon, Sephora, Comedy Central and Google. We can’t wait to hear what they’ve got in store for us at The Art Department Eindhoven!

The studio was created by Mark Davis and Catharine Pitt – self-taught creators. They are big advocates of drawing. Not only for animation but also for artists to develop their style and spark ideas.
Form Play has gained recognition on social channels for its playful storytelling, often using frame animations to explore scenarios with a humorous edge. One of their distinguishing features is the way they explore micro-storytelling, characters and techniques.
All this and more will be explored during their time on the Klokgebouw stage! So very excited!
