Drawing from nature, ’80s dark fantasy and the hazy grain of childhood memories, Manon Louart creates meditative animated illustrations with vibrant colour palettes that feel both timeless and deeply personal.
Over nearly a decade in the industry, Manon has collaborated with some of the world’s most recognisable brands – including Converse, Adidas, Instagram, Google and Apple. Alongside her client work, she teaches both online and in design schools, and in 2023 co-founded Reframed – a French collective working towards a more sustainable, fair and inclusive practice of motion design.
Topic of the talk: What Does Your Creative Process Look Like When No One Is Watching?
A case for going outside, touching grass and finding joy in making things slowly. Zooming in on the technical details of a recent project, Manon reflects on what her process draws from and how nearly 10 years in the industry have shaped the way she works. An honest, intimate look at the slower, quieter side of creative practice that rarely gets talked about.
