He likes to push his skills to the limit. The result? Intriguing framings, unexpected mixtures of worlds, surprising combinations of textures, all working together with narratives that keep viewers on the edge and leave them wanting for more. These are just some of the elements that make Pablo Carpio’s works so fascinating.
He joined us for the very first edition of The Art Department Eindhoven, back in 2017, and we felt it was high-time to introduce him to our Berlin audience as well! We are simply delighted to have him part of our 2024 line-up!

Pablo Carpio is a concept artist and art director from Spain. He studied traditional arts at the Complutense University of Madrid, and after that he started his career as a concept artist working as a freelancer for companies such as Disney, Pixar, Marvel Studios, Industrial Light and Magic, Netflix, Warner Brothers and more. Lately he has also worked as a Production Designer for Disney+, Base Fx and Duncan Studio.
Pablo is currently working on several projects still under development, including the already announced HBO series Dune: Prophecy.
His talk during The Art Department will englobe insights from his personal experiences, as well as advice concerning getting your first job, switching from videogames to the film industry (or the other way around), and finding new opportunities in a industry that is constantly changing and reinventing itself.
