American storyboard artist, writer, producer, and voice actor, as well as creator of the Disney Channel series Gravity Falls, Alex Hirsch, sure knows all about fun engaging stories. We’re super hyped that during In Motion we’ll get to enjoy that expertise first hand given by the artist himself!
Alongside the amazing work for Gravity Falls, for which he also received BAFTA and Annie Awards, Hirsch also contributed to animated features such as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The Angry Birds Movie 2, The Mitchells vs. the Machines, Super Mario Bros Movie and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
In July 2016, Hirsch threw a global treasure hunt (known as “Cipher Hunt”) for Gravity Falls fans with clues hidden throughout the world including in the United States, Japan, and Russia. The hunt coincided with the release of Hirsch’s tie-in book, Gravity Falls: Journal 3 who appeared on The New York Times Best Seller list for nearly a year.
He has also done voice work for a number of projects including Phineas and Ferb and Rick and Morty. Hirsch was also the voice for King, Hooty, and additional characters in the Disney Channel animated series The Owl House.
Alongside creator and show-runner Shion Takeuchi he co-executive produced the Netflix series Inside Job.
