Momo is a super fan of the pop idol SuperNova and completely shuts herself off from the outside world, in her bedroom due to self-isolation and accompanying loneliness. But when this bedroom inexplicably collapses, she must find a way out of the in-between world she finds herself in and has to conquer her greatest fear.
Director Sarah van der Pers has been experimenting since 2019 with various audio visual formats such as films, corporate identities, texts, animations, photography or illustrations. She is currently studying Audiovisual Media at the HKU. In her works she has tried out various roles such as art director (Groener Gras), script and editor (Vangdrift), set design and graphics (Avondrood, Ontsnapt).
The film Super Duper Mega Fan will be featured in the Student Film Competition. The selection highlights amazing student films created by artists enrolled at Dutch universities, and, in the same time, works that challenge and innovate in terms of audio-visual storytelling.
