AU, NL | 8 min | documentary
An essay film in which the filmmaker Medea is seeking to connect with a grandfather she never met. Step into his footsteps and visit the same places he did in 1931 at 23—the same age she is now. Through this journey, we explore the evolving landscape and reflect on how our relationship with nature and the media we use to capture memories, has changed.
Medea graduated in Audiovisual Design at Willem de Kooning in Rotterdam.
The film We Are Waiting for Snow will be featured in the Student Film Competition. The selection highlights amazing student films created by artists enrolled at Dutch universities, and, in the same time, works that challenge and innovate in terms of audio-visual storytelling.
