Filmfluencer, freelance film journalist, moderator, interviewer and podcast host, among others, Laura Gommans sure knows the ins and outs of bringing upfront the art of filmmaking and putting creators in the spotlight. Which is why we couldn’t think of a better host and moderator for our Film Industry Day.
As a film journalist and so-called ‘filmfluencer’, Laura Gommans has turned her hobby and hyperfixation into her job: she talks about movies on social media, interviews actors and directors and is the host of movie podcast Celebrating Cinema. She has a passion for anything from blockbusters to arthouse, but there is a special place in her heart for 80’s movies, The Muppets and body horror.
She has worked as Digital Content Manager at Cosmopolitan, was chief editor at NSMBL, senior editor at Glamour and presenter for Netflix. In 2019, she won a Content Marketing Grand Prix for the vlog series Laura’s Power Month.
