As a child, Dan Ojari was home-educated, which gave him plenty of time to draw and teach himself some basic animation skills. When he was old enough, he took a degree in Set Design for Stage and Screen at Wimbledon College of Art. He then took a master’s in animation at the Royal College of Art.
He worked as a freelance director and animator until he and Mikey Please founded Parabella Studios. Here they produced shorts, idents and commercials. They developed long-form projects such as Robin Robin, Alan The Infinite and Deadrock (a graphic novel). Robin Robin took them to Aardman where they made it into a Netflix original which was nominated for an Oscar.
