
Blizzard Entertainment is an American video game developer and publisher best known for producing the highly influential massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft, as well as the multi-million selling video game franchises Diablo, StarCraft and Overwatch.
For The Art Department Berlin we are delighted to welcome their senior concept artist outsource supervisor Inka Schulz. Inka is a Concept Artist and Illustrator with a deep passion for all things gothic and mysterious. Before joining Blizzard, she freelanced on various projects while also beginning to develop her own series of art books and novels. A graduate of Ringling College with a degree in Illustration, Inka has collaborated with clients such as Blizzard Entertainment, Wizards of the Coast, Volta, Creative Assembly, and Darrington Press.
Beyond illustration, she has an academic background in Medieval Warfare, allowing her to blend historical accuracy with imaginative world-building- to combine the functional with the fantastic.
During her talk she will share with us the process of working on Diablo 4 with outsourcing studios. She will also let us peek into the pillars that make up Diablo and how they utilise them as concept artists on the project. Inka will delve into a general overview of being a concept artist in dark fantasy projects, and the journey to breaking into the industry with insight into Design and Concept Art. We simply can’t wait!
