Originally from the Philippines we welcome Armand Serrano to our The Art Department | World Tour stage! This independent visual development artist, art director and production designer was involved with Walt Disney Studios, Sony and the Marvel Studios to name a few.
Armand Serrano created work for animated feature films and games and specialized in environment design. He is currently working as Production Designer for Skydance Animation.
Armand is known for his works at Walt Disney Animation Studios, Sony Pictures Animation and The Bible Project. He recently completed work on Season 1 of Marvel Studios’ upcoming series What If scheduled to stream on Disney+ in 2021.
He worked on Hotel Transylvania, Big Hero 6, Zootopia and Olaf’s Frozen Adventure. And as a freelance artist he was involved in projects withs studios such as Netflix Animation, Blizzard Entertainment, Riot Games, Niantic and Blur Studio.
He is also a seasoned lecturer in the field of animation and design. He conducts workshops and demos internationally.
Armand conducts his own online mentorship program once a year for advanced visual development candidates. He teaches at Brainstorm-Inland School and the co-organizer of Icon Manila with his wife. He also taught at Biola University and Art Center of College of Art and Design as an adjunct professor.
