Jill Heesbeen (NL) is illustrator en af en toe animator. Ze studeerde cum laude af aan de St. Joost School of art and Design in 2021 en werkt sindsdien als freelancer op redacties en kinderboeken.
Ze heeft een frisse, kleurrijke, grafische en toch speelse illustratiestijl en vindt het leuk om maatschappelijk relevante onderwerpen aan te kaarten met haar werk. Met effectieve metaforen, combinaties of visuele grappen vertaalt ze woorden naar beelden en maakt ze conceptuele, karaktergebaseerde illustraties. Door de humor die ze vaak gebruikt, is haar werk geschikt voor een jong en volwassen publiek.
Jill heeft gewerkt voor verschillende opdrachtgevers, waaronder The Washington Post, VICE, Teen Vogue, De Volkskrant, De Morgen, Trouw, Kunstloc Brabant en Volt kinderboeken.
Jill is geselecteerd voor het Playgrounds Next Talent Program.
Jill Heesbeen (NL) is an illustrator and occasional animator. She graduated with honors from St. Joost School of art and Design in 2021, and has been freelancing as an editorial and children’s book illustrator since.
She has a fresh, colorful, graphic yet playful illustration style, and enjoys raising socially relevant topics with her work. With effective metaphors, combinations, or visual jokes, she translates words to images, making conceptual, character based illustrations. Because of the humor she often uses, her work is suitable for young and adult audiences.
Jill has worked with a variety of clients, including The Washington Post, VICE, Teen Vogue, De Volkskrant, De Morgen, Trouw, Kunstloc Brabant, and Volt children’s books.
