Tijdens Illustrada kun je illustrator Kid KURA op verschillende tijdstippen aan het werk zien op het Koningsplein. Hier werkt hij aan een levensgrote vloerschildering (flooral) die het hele plein beslaat.
Kid KURA creëert surrealistische werelden, personages en situaties die rechtstreeks uit zijn eigen fantasiewereld lijken te komen. Hij studeerde af aan de Willem de Kooning Academie in de studierichting Illustratie, maar heeft daarnaast ook een opleiding Grafisch Ontwerp in Eindhoven afgerond. Hierdoor heeft hij een unieke grafische stijl kunnen ontwikkelen die is gebaseerd op illustratie en grafisch ontwerp. Dankzij deze combinatie weet hij een bijzondere ervaring te creëren in de projecten die hij voor zijn klanten uitvoert.
Kid KURA is een beeldmaker die zich voornamelijk richt op muurschilderingen, branding, redactionele opdrachten en evenementen. Hij experimenteert met verschillende media, waardoor zijn werk geschikt is voor uiteenlopende projecten. Hij heeft gewerkt voor het Hiphophuis, Vice Benelux, Ikea, Wobbyclub, Pow! Wow! Worldwide, JumboPress, Area 51 Eindhoven, de gemeente Eindhoven en nog vele anderen.
