Visual artist, author and new media researcher, Tobias Gremmler is nothing if not a pioneer. He constantly experiments with form combining his significant talents in digital media, motion graphics, interface design and music to create unique immersive experiences for theatre and dance productions, concerts and exhibitions. Approaching his art from such a singular starting point means his work is some of the most inventive and pioneering out today.
Tobias is known for his work on exhibitions, orchestral visualisations, music videos and more. You may have seen his collaborations with Bjork, for her music video Tabula Rasa, with London Symphony Orchestra, visualising the movements of Kung Fu, or with Nike where he created an immersive experience based on Cristiano Ronaldo’s on-pitch movement. In this way, Tobias strives to visualise the conceptual.
We were thrilled to welcome Tobias to Playgrounds BLEND in 2020. His talk did not disappoint so we’re holding our breath to as he’ll be giving us a peek behind the curtain into his artistic practice in London this time around.
