Rex is a video game director, designer & artist, who originally studied graphic design, before he stumbled into the world of video games. He worked initially at Lionhead Studios before leaving to help his friends to form the studio Media Molecule, and to create their ‘LittleBigPlanet’ games.
He was named BAFTA’s ‘Breakthrough Brit’ in 2013 and the following year won three BAFTAs for his work creating the novel, hand-crafted and playful visual style on the game, ‘Tearaway’. Through his own indie games studio Foam Sword he released ‘Knights And Bikes’. This game is inspired by childhood in Cornwall (UK) – which received industry acclaim, garnering glowing reviews and scooping awards.
More recently, Rex was chosen as an art director for the newest entry in the legendary ‘Monkey Island’ game series, bringing innovative, distinctive and heartfelt art and design into the world of video games.
