GAME WEEK: CONFERENCE ON GAME ART & DESIGN BY PLAYGROUNDS X BUAS (SOLD OUT)

Founded in 1991, Epic Games is a leading interactive entertainment company and provider of 3D engine technology. Epic operates one of the world’s largest games, Fortnite, which is a vibrant ecosystem of social entertainment experiences including first-party games like Fortnite Battle Royale, LEGO® Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival, as well as creator-made experiences. Epic has over 800 million accounts and over 6 billion friend connections across Fortnite, Fall Guys, Rocket League, and the Epic Games Store. The company also develops Unreal Engine, which powers many of the world’s leading games and is also adopted across industries such as film and television, broadcast and live events, architecture, automotive, and simulation. Through Fortnite, Unreal Engine, Epic Games Store, and Epic Online Services, Epic provides an end-to-end digital ecosystem for developers and creators to build, distribute, and operate games and other content.

Joining us from Epic is Arjan Brussee. He created Jazz Jackrabbit 1&2 with Cliff Bleszinski, a game published by Epic Megagames between 1994-97. He co-founded Guerrilla Games (acquired by Sony in 2005) where he worked on all the Killzone titles and early production on Horizon Zero Dawn. He joined EA in 2012 to work on various entries in the Battlefield series, and left in 2014 to set up Boss Key Productions where he built the team for and shipped Lawbreakers. Late 2017 he returned to Epic Games. After collaborating on  various technical projects in Fortnite and launching UE5 he’s now a Technical Director for Unreal Engine. We can’t wait to pick his brains!
