Our Next talent program expanded to XR realms. And on top of the regular activities, also provided masterclasses and informative sessions featuring industry professionals open to the other emerging artists and makers.
All this without counting everything exciting happening on Discord, home to our online and international community, a space that has registered a spectacular growth as well.
Dear friends, that‘s what we call a fully packed year!
However, we can’t properly wrap up our busiest year yet, without at least a short recap of some of our favorite moments. So in no particular order, here are some of the things that still get our brain juices flowing, hearts pumping and out-of-the-blue smiles appearing on our faces:
🌟 Meeting more than thousands of creatives at our festivals, starting with our annual return to the Klokgebouw for TAD Eindhoven
🌟 Our tailor made development program Next becoming an officially recognised talent hub.
🌟 A reunion with Alte Münze during TAD Berlin, topped off with an exclusive DJ-set by the one and only Rob Bliss
🌟 Taking over the city of Tilburg, decorating the streets with art during the first edition of Illustrada.
🌟 Ending In Motion Rotterdam with a brand new show by David Wilson. We won’t be forgetting. David Wilson’s Cabaret with performances from Harry Clayton-Wright, Ms Sharon LeGrand, Titty Kaka and Wet Mess, any time soon
🌟 Meeting the creative child of Becky & Joe for the first time during that same In Motion Rotterdam. And then bringing the duo for an epic Q&A right on our Discord, for our entire online community to enjoy
🌟 The debut of the XR program for six XR artists within our talent hub Next.
🌟 Selling out *internal scream* Barbican Centre during our second edition of In Motion London.
🌟 Powering the first ever crowd surf in Barbican Hall by the one and only Harry Clayton-Wright.
🌟 Expanding our online community and enhanced the festival experiences via our Discord, server, through hosting art challenges, Q&As with artists, sketching sessions, illustration and animation showcases.
🌟 Gathering game experts, artists and professionals during our 7-day program of the Game Week in Breda.
🌟 Taking the time to also connect with each other, as it happened for instance while closing 2024 with gourmet (a typical Dutch dish) for our team.
What new surprises could the future still bring us, you wonder? We can tell you 2025 is already setting itself up as a quite exciting darling. Here‘s a little tease of our latest brand new adventure: the first edition of the Playgrounds International Film Festival.
