The In-Depth Day is an extra festival day, in addition to our regular Art Department program. This day is filled with extensive talks, masterclasses and screenings of Playgrounds International Film Festival for the true in-depth experience of our festival.

Who is this day for?
You might want to visit the In-Depth Day when you already possess a solid foundation of knowledge within your field. During this day, talks and masterclass will go beyond the basics and dive deeper into familiair subjects, focussing on specific topics within the Art Department disciplines (film, animation, games). The exact topics discussed will depend on the artist present. We are currently still working on the program, so please keep an eye on this page to see who’ll be joining us!

A quick guide to the In-Depth Day
➡️ Whether you want to experience it alongside the program on 16+17 April, or on its own, The In-Depth Day is the place where professionals can gather, network and take a deep-dive in the process of their peers. You can experience the In-Depth Day even if you will not manage to visit TAD on 16 and/or 17 April.

➡️ During this day, talks and masterclasses will go beyond the basics and dive deeper into familiar subjects, focussing on specific topics within the Art Department disciplines (film, animation, games).

➡️ Each masterclass has limited places and upon entry you will be asked to select the parts of the program you are interested in. If no selection is made, you can still attend the talks that are left with available places.

➡️ Last, but not least, an In-Depth ticket also gives you free access to the Playgrounds International Film Festival Day Program.

➡️ Your In-Depth Day ticket gives access to all the masterclasses part of 15 April . You don’t have to pay extra per masterclass.

➡️ We do host two separate workshops with Nathan Fowkes (14 April) and Alex Grigg (15 April). These workshops aren’t part of the In-Depth day and you need separate tickets for these.
