Anand Radhakrishnan is an Indian freelance concept artist. His paintings and designs are incredibly detailed and made with mixed techniques. He has worked for several zines, comic books and graphic novels, but is now starting to develop his own projects as well.
A freelance Illustrator based in Mumbai, Anand is a graduate from Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Art, topped up with a couple of years of learning illustration at The Art Department. After graduating he didn’t follow the more traditional path of working for advertising companies as he felt they were paying little attention to the personal growth of artists, choosing instead to focus on freelance illustration projects.
Despite being successful and creating artworks also in the digital environment, he still prefers the traditional medium simply because it’s more enjoyable for him to create in. He is passionate about storytelling in any medium and derives inspiration from masters like Moebius, Alphonse Mucha etc.
