Within just one image, Alena Dubrovina impeccably manages to breathe history, personality and narratives into her character designs. No wonder her career quickly escalated into becoming an incredibly valuable asset for the Larian Studios.
Alena joined Larian as an intern in 2016. Having shipped Divinity Original Sin II and Baldur’s Gate 3 she is currently working there as art director. One of her main goals is to develop games with the focus on player experience and to help narratives have a stronger impact with memorable places and characters.
Alena believes it’s important to balance managerial work with hands-on production, to avoid losing touch with reality in this rapidly changing industry.
