Set up as a festival and conference, The Art Department focusses and celebrates the art and design process for film, animation and games.
As a volunteer for our fest, you get to enjoy a unique view behind-the-scenes alongside landing a hand to creating our most ambitious edition to date! Featuring talks from internationally acclaimed artists, panels, sketching sessions, recruitment and portfolio reviews, pitching sessions, exhibitions, art market, artist studios, film programs and many many more.

As a PLGR-volunteer you will be landing us a hand with tasks like:
- welcoming our guest and audience and being our most wonderful host
- keeping an eye on and helping our audience explore the exhibition, market and installations
- assist with ticketing
- putting your make-it-happen skills to test as an assistant producer
- being a runner or driver and ensuring things run smoothly
- making the magic happen a.k.a helping with the build-up / break-down
Think of it as a wonderful chance to expand your network within the industry, connect with like-minded creatives, get to know the Playgrounds Team up, close & personal and gather insights about how we create one of the most exciting digital arts festival in the world!
We take care of our own, so we provide catering and partially reimburse travel expenses.
Should you also need help with finding a place to stay during the festival, drop us a line at volunteers@weareplaygrouds.nl as we might just have a couple of tips!
You can also choose between receiving a standard volunteer fee or a full-pass ticket to our fest on the day that you are not working.
