TAD BERLIN X PLGR DISCORD

special treats for our Discord community

Our Discord has been brewing quite a lovely community lately. During The Art Department Eindhoven we had a lovely time together so it was only natural we will try to do the same in Berlin. So if you’re up for adding an extra level of interaction to your TAD experience, do have a look at this cozy online space. Unconvinced? Read on and find out some of the perks we’re offering our PLGR Discorders.

If you want to meet new people during our fest, find cozy places to hang-out or get together with fellow creatives, you can already browse through our travel-buddies thread on Discord. Our server is also the place to try and get hold of available tickets!

During the festival we’re going to set up a Treasure Hunt! We’ll hide a special something, somewhere on the Alte Münze premise, and we’ll be dropping clues on Discord about its whereabouts. First person to find the mysterious object, will win a Playgrounds hoodie! We’ll have a Treasure Hunt for 25 and one of 26th of May!

Following the Eindhoven lead, for the first time this year, audience members will be able to post their questions for the artists on our main stage (The Stage), right on our Discord server, in the mainstage-questions thread. The host will keep an eye on the threads and, if time allows, will select a couple to ask at the end of the artist talks. You can already submit your questions for Rob Bliss and Larian Studios. The faster you post the more chances your questions will be included in the interview and/or presentations. Groovy right?

Especially for our Berlin crowd, together with our principal sponsor Procreate, we are also setting up a special paint over session by Nicholas Kole.

Out of all submissions, Nicholas will then select 4 works that will receive a paint over on May 26, 10:30, in the Loft stage. However you really do need to be physically present during the session in order to receive the paint over.

And we have special surprise also for our entire Discord community (regardless of their physically joining us in Berlin or not). From Friday 24 May 15:00 CEST until Sunday 26 May 15:00 CEST we will be hosting the 48h Sketching Challenge. The details will be announced on Friday 24 May on our Discord channel. Buuut we will just give you a little hint regarding the prize: a tablet provided by our partners from Wacom!
