SUBSCRIBE YOUR GRADUATION SHORT ANIMATED FILM TO THE VERY FIRST TAD FILM FEST! (CALL = CLOSED)

and get a chance to win €1000,-!

CALL=CLOSED

For years we have been screening a carefully curated selection of films during our festivals and events. These films, short or long form, always found their own enthusiastic crowd and became an organic extension of our regular program.

In 2024 we decided it was high time for The Art Department Film Fest to be born! And student films could not be missing!  So if you happen to have an animated graduation short film completed in 2023 or 2022, why don’t you register it for our Student Animation Competition?

How does it work? Films eligible for this program can be submitted here. Before you submit your film, please check if it fits the following criteria:

  • The Film was a graduation project in (2022 or) 2023 from one of the Dutch film or art schools (MBO/HBO);
  • The film is no longer than 10 minutes;
  • The film is an animation film, an animated documentary or uses animation as a storytelling element in live action;
  • Work in progress is NOT accepted;
  • The film has English subtitles, or no dialogue;
  • 3 high-res stills, synopsis, trailer and viewing link need to be uploaded upon submission;
  • A high-res file of the film is available.

By submitting your film you get a chance to win the Best Student Film Award of €1000,-.

A curated selection of the student films will also be included in the program of The Art Department Film Fest and screened in NatLab during the festival! FREE to experience by all The Art Department visitors!
