MRZYK & MORICEAU

Their animated music videos are absolutely mesmerizing but, as  Playgrounds  Eye Candy editor Simon Buijs points out, there’s more to the wonderfully talented Mrzyk & Moriceau.

Simon: “Petra Mrzyk & Jean-François Moriceau are visual artists and directors. The way this duo documents their process is quite impressive and surprising. I think that their collaborations spans a decade now and branches out into animated music video’s (Justice, Sebastien Tellier, Air and more), exhibitions, products and a sea shell house.
Their line drawings seem to be the base for all this and can be explained as an intuitive research into pop culture, surrealism and sexuality with a humorous twist.”
Petra Mrzyk and Jean-François Moriceau have been working collaboratively since 1998. They have had solo exhibitions at Air de Paris (2012, 2008, 2004), Caixa Forum in Barcelona (2008), Los Angeles County Museum of Art (2006), Mamco in Geneva (2004), and Schnitt Ausstellungsraum in Cologne (2001).
