The third edition of the Next XR talent program kicked off during the heat wave at the beautiful Fort Penningsveer. Denis Pubalova, Mark IJzerman, Joyce den Hertog, Hung Lu Chan, Alexander Zubenko and Jacco Kooistra are the talents that explore immersive practice for the next 10 months.
They took a deep sweaty dive into their early stage ideas and enjoyed two workshops tailored to this program. First, a seminar by tech-dramaturg Guido Jansen about directing and creating ‘affective’ experiences and environments with a performative element. And lastly a hands-on work session with Sahand Sahebdivani of Mezrab Storytelling school about the value of sensory information in storytelling, memories and lived experiences. The tensions between choosing structure and the power of a moment.
