PRACTICAL

WHEN & WHERE DOES THE FESTIVAL TAKE PLACE?
Playgrounds In Motion will take place on 8 + 9 September 2023 in the Outernet District in Soho (London, UK).

The festival spreads out over its three venues: NOW, HERE and Lower 3rd. All venues are in very close vicinity to each other.

WHEN DO I NEED TO ARRIVE AT THE EVENT?
On Friday our ticketing desk is open from 2PM – 11.30PM. On Saturday from 2PM – 11PM.

The program on our main stage will start at 3PM.

On Friday uur ticketing desk closes at 11.30PM  and on Saturday at 11PM. New visitors will not be allowed into the evening program once the desk closes, so make sure to obtain your wristband before. Wristband holders will still be granted access.

WHERE DO I BUY TICKETS?
You can buy tickets via our official ticket shop.

DO YOU HAVE GROUP DISCOUNTS?
Yes, groups get extra discounts. Buying 5+ tickets for your studio or friends? Drop us a line via ticketing@weareplaygrounds.nl for more info.

I’M A STUDENT. CAN I GET A DISCOUNT?
Yes, there’s a limited number of educational tickets available so be quick.

Please note that educational tickets are only valid with a student or staff ID. Your ID will be checked at the door, so please bring it with you.

I’VE GOT A PERSONALISED TICKET, BUT I WANT TO GIVE IT TO SOMEONE ELSE
The name of the ticket holder won’t be checked at the entrance. So, you can easily give the ticket to someone else, as a gift for example!

WHERE CAN I FIND THE INVOICE/RECEIPT FOR MY PURCHASE?
After you’ve completed your purchase, you’ll receive an e-mail with your tickets. In this e-mail you’ll also find a link to your receipt.

Need a business invoice? Don’t forget to add your invoice details upon check out!

TO WHAT DOES MY TICKET GRANT ACCESS?
A full pass and a day ticket give you access to our main program at the Outernet district (HERE, Lower 3rd & NOW). This includes: Stage 1 + 2, Industry 1-on-1s, Procreate lounge, meet & greets and the evening program at HERE on both days.

The film screenings in NOW are freely accessible. You do not require a ticket for this.

Tickets for workshops are sold separately and are not included in your regular event ticket.

AFTERPARTY 8 SEPT – 18+
Please note the afterparty David Wilson’s Closet on 8 September is 18+. The venues operate Challenge 25 so bringing your ID is recommended.

Also be aware the performance during the afterparty uses stroboscopic lights which can cause inconvenience for light-sensitive people. 

HOSPITALITY / ACCESSIBILITY

IS THERE FOOD / DRINKS AVAILABLE AT THE FESTIVAL?
Bars will be open in both HERE and Lower 3rd where you can get (cold) drinks.

Food is widely available within a close distance of the venue.

WHEEL CHAIR ACCESSIBILITY AND OTHER DISABILITIES
The festival spreads across three venues: HERE, NOW and Lower 3rd which are situated on level 0 and -1. All venues are step free from the street via our elevator and has accessible toilets. We have a limited amount of companion tickets available. If you need one, please reach out to ticketing@weareplaygrounds.nl so that we can accommodate this.

Please note the venue contains a lot of screens and this can be overwhelming for some people.

IS THERE A CLOAK ROOM?
Yes, there is one cloak room, located on the mezzanine of HERE. It is free of charge.

HOUSE RULES & REGULATIONS

  • To all Playgrounds events, our Terms & Conditions apply.
  • Please leave your full pass wrist band on overnight. Removed wristbands are no longer valid and will not be replaced by a new pass;
  • Please be quiet during the presentations. Visitors that are disturbing the talks will be removed from the venue;
  • The whole venue is a non-smoking area. You are only allowed to smoke in designated smoking areas;
  • We don’t serve alcohol under 18. Our crew and crew of the venue is obliged to ask for a valid ID;
  • In HERE a cloak room is available. Playgrounds cannot be accountable for loss of items or damage to items. Use is at your own risk;
  • No professional cameras are allowed (A professional camera is anything with a lens of 35mm or over). Larger SLR cameras aren’t allowed in and cameras that look similar to SLR cameras may not be allowed in;
  • It is prohibited to record the talks on any device;
  • The program is tentative and submissive to change. Playgrounds keeps an up-to-date time schedule on this site. All rights are reserved.
