Playgrounds TV | The Book Club: Milivoj Ceran

We’re very pleased to announce that The Book Club will make its return on our YouTube channel on the 1st of June. We continue the interviews with artists that use their skills also for creating spectacular art-books and, in this way, share their knowledge. On the 1st of June we will kick-off with professional fantasy illustrator: Milivoj Ceran. He has been in the industry since 2002 and has created multiple art books, most of them featuring Norwegian mythology. Quite the perfect match for our Playgrounds TV come-back!

Milivoj Céran is a fantasy illustrator from Croatia and majored in painting during his time at The School of Applied Arts in Zagreb. He finished The Academy of Fine Arts soon after. Milivoj mainly works with traditional techniques and is specialized in fantasy art, medieval and myth genre. He is well known for Magic The Gathering art but also for his personal project: ‘Norse Mythology art book’.

Part of Milivoj his clientele are Wizards of the Coast, Paizo, Cryptozoic Entertainment, Upper Deck Entertainment, Applibot, Sony Online Entertainment and many more.

In this episode of the book club Milivoj is our tour guide through Norwegian myths. We’re more than ready for him to share all his insights on fantasy and art books. Milovoj is joined by Spiridon Giannakis, book publisher and Leon van Rooij, director of Playgrounds.
