Make Way Film is a Rotterdam-based film production company specialising in horror, fantasy and science fiction. Guided by the motto Making films fantastic, the company is dedicated to developing and producing bold, imaginative genre films for international audiences.

Make Way Film’s films and series embrace the bizarre, the unknown and the mystical. From spine-chilling horror featuring terrifying creatures, to mind-bending science fiction with unpredictable visions of the future and enchanting fantasy worlds infused with magic, the company creates stories that linger long after the credits roll.

In recent years, Make Way Film has produced the horror-comedy short Shiny New World (2021), the lockdown thriller The Revelation (2022), the found-footage horror film Exhibit #8 (2023), and the folk horror feature Witte Wieven (2024).

During this special edition of the Filmhelpdesk you will also be able to pick the brains of our very own Maureen Prins– coordinator of Playgrounds Next and film curator at Playgrounds. With a background in filmmaking, festival organisation and mobile cinema concepts, she brings a broad and intensive knowledge of the industry and a network ready to be shared with emerging makers.
