Fleur Bax is a filmmaker based in The Netherlands. She studied Audiovisual Media at University of the Arts Utrecht (HKU) and took cinema courses in Jerusalem. Her work explores universal themes such as homesickness, loss, love and family relationships. Often, she tries to find a connection with natural phenomena for a broader perspective.
Her experience covers creating short fiction films, documentaries, film installations and a small piece she wrote and performed for a literature festival. Currently, she is working on her first feature film.

Fleur’s creative style is influenced by a lot of big and small things; grand universal emotions and small mundane everyday details. Although in daily life she pays close attention to world politics and the state of the world in general, she does feel like her work reflects a more personal view on difficult emotions and seemingly indistinct struggles.
Her projects are inspired by nature, space, certain moods, memories, the passing of time (in big ways or small) and all kinds of art -with a big emphasis on music and film.
We were impressed by Fleur’s solid vision but also by her courageous plans of tackling new directions, being interested in exploring storytelling through documentaries and installations, alongside fiction. She is definitely up for an exciting trajectory, part of our 2026-2027 generation of Next Talents.
