The Netherlands Film Academy is the only specialized higher professional education (HBO) program in the Netherlands that focuses entirely on the full field of filmmaking.
At the Film Academy, you are trained to become a leading and entrepreneurial professional in the film industry. You learn how to collaborate with other specialists to create urgent, high-quality stories in image and sound, including feature films, documentaries, television drama, commercials, web series, interactive media, immersive media, and branded content.
Visual Effects is a specialization within the Visual Effects & Immersive Media program. In this specialization, you learn how to manipulate film images in a way that enhances the story. You do this using 2D compositing software in combination with 3D software. With 3D software, you create entirely new characters or worlds, animate them, and seamlessly integrate them into filmed footage.
