Lucas Petersen is a 2D animator & Storyboarder based in Breda, The Netherlands. His work is defined by dynamic camera angles, that are made tangible by gritty animated textures and storytelling that focusses on building tension.
During his talk, Lucas will showcase the development of his short film TUNNEL VISION. A 2D animated fillm about cave exploration and panic attacks. ‘’During this project I decided I wanted to step away from automation and draw as much myself as possible’’ Expressing that animation is allowed to be difficult, in a digital age where more and more is realized by technology, it becomes easy to think that everything needs a short cut. But sometimes, working your way into every frame can lead to a more artistic connection on screen.
