Based in Rotterdam, Marike Verbiest is known for both her stop motion and After Effects animation. After studying at St. Joost Academy and KASK Gent, she worked as a VJ at KBK Visuals before moving into animation. She’s worked as an animator on various short films, children’s series, and art installations. Recently, she’s worked on the award winning movie ‘Knor’ directed by Mascha Halberstad, as well as commercially for clients like Hema and Picnic.
Her work has been screened at the likes of Annecy, Anima, Holland Animation Film Festival and many more.
