Primetime Emmy Award-winning Visual Effects Supervisor, Hayden Jones has over 30 years of experience in the industry. He was VFX Supervisor on Netflix’s Lost Ollie, a live-action/animation hybrid family series, directed by Peter Ramsey, for which he also won an Emmy for outstanding VFX. Hayden was most recently serving as VFX supervisor on the Netflix animated feature, Ultraman: Rising. Hayden joined ILM in 2019 to launch the studio’s episodic portfolio and servies as a VFX Supervisor on season one of The Mandalorian out of ILM’s London studio. Working with the team tasked with bringing Grogu to the screen, he received both a Primetime Emmy and Visual Effects Society Award for his work on the show.
At the Barbican, Hayden will discuss how ILM, working with the feature animation team at Netflix, created the stylized look and animation of Ultraman: Rising. Showing early tests, development work and shot breakdowns. He will walk through the whole process of bringing Ultraman to the big screen.
