38′ | anthology of animations
A whole bunch of animators gather around the campfire to tell their tales of ghosts and the ghostly.
Tales to shock, amuse, and frighten! Tales to make you laugh, cry and scream! Stuff made up!
Who knows what lurks in the witching hour?
This 38-minute animated anthology from the Late Night Work Club collective, features a series of 11 short films from indie animators based on the “ghost stories” theme. Curated by Charles Huettner, Scott Benson, Eamon O’Neill, and Eimhin McNamara, it showcases diverse artistic styles exploring emotional and metaphorical hauntings. Featuring work from some of the finest animators making their own stuff – Dave Prosser, Charles Huettner, Sean Buckelew, Jake Armstrong & Erin Kilkenny, Caleb Wood, Louise Bagnall, Alex Grigg, Conor Finnegan, Ciaran Duffy, Eamonn O’Neill and Scott Benson.
Enjoy this screening with a special intro by Alex Grigg. He fell in love with filmmaking during his time at animation school in Brisbane. After graduating he worked with studios such as Nexus, BUCK, Blink Ink, Passion Pictures and Mighty Nice. He made his first personal film in 2014 and since then he’s been working primarily as an animation director, creating work for clients such as Cartoon Network, Apple, Samsung and Procreate.
