Lukas de Kort graduated in 2016 at the Dutch Film Academy. He shoots mainly documentary and fiction films with  a focus on the artistry and authorship of the director and crew. He believes that shooting on analog film helps everyone involved in the filmmaking process to have a better understanding about the choices needed in order to bring the stories to life. Shooting on film not only brings a certain aesthetic to the final outcome, but a specific way of preparing and working in the entire filmmaking process.

Eva Heinsbroek is a cinematographer known for her attention to detail, sensitive imagery and love for psychological narratives. After studying Film Studies and Psychology at the University of Amsterdam, Eva specialised in Cinematography at the Netherlands Film Academy, graduating in 2018.

Both of Eva’s graduation films won the Wildcard Award for Best Student Film at the Netherlands Film Festival and have been screened at numerous film festivals around the world.

The short fiction Marlon Brando Eva shot with director Vincent Tilanus had its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, was selected for Toronto International Film Festival, was nominated for a Golden Calf for Best Short Film and won several prizes including the Go Short VEVAM Award.

Eva loves the mix between fiction, documentary and commercial work and shoots digitally as well as on analogue film. Whilst based in Amsterdam, Eva also shoots abroad, having filmed shorts and documentaries in several countries including Switzerland, Iceland and Israël.

Daphne Maierna‘s creative journey began twenty years ago in the film and advertising industry, where she became the first female colorist in the Netherlands. It seemed like the perfect life: a good salary, collaborating with talented and creative people, and trips abroad.

In silence, she struggled with perfectionism and insecurity. She was convinced that working overtime, conforming, and self-criticism were the keys to success. Finally, in 2013, heavily pregnant with her second child, she decided things had to change and quit her full-time job, deciding she wanted to live and work in a way that better suited her and her family. Now she combines her creative background with coaching to help others find that confidence in themselves.

Simon Bavinck is the program coordinator of BROET, a platform supporting local filmmakers and audiovisual talent in the Brabant Region, and our partners in the Playgrounds Next Talent Program. He is also an independent filmmaker and creative producer whose projects have earned international acclaim, including Aït Ishaq, nominated for the Debut Competition at the Netherlands Film Festival and now streaming on NPO Extra, Jungle, showcased at the New York Indie Shorts Awards, and The Creative Handshake, selected for the Ceres Film Festival. As a self-taught filmmaker who transitioned from event production to film, Simon understands the resourceful creativity required in student filmmaking. Having worked on numerous low-budget projects, he is excited to evaluate how emerging talent achieves high production value with minimal means.
