It was almost inevitable that Kayn would forge a career in moving images, having grown up watching his father animate for Hanna-Barbera. Now with over two decades of experience spanning both 2D and 3D animation, he’s recently finished working on a dream project; the live action adaption of How To Train Your Dragon with director, Dean DeBlois.
Kayn’s passion lies in the intricate intersection of art and science that defines VFX and animation, where each film presents unique creative and technical challenges. How to Train Your Dragon proved to be a remarkable canvas for Kayn, who played a pivotal role in reimagining the dragons, with a particular focus on driving the development of Toothless. He was deeply involved in every stage of the production, from development to the practical challenges of on-set execution.
