BLUR

THE ART DEPARTMENT EINDHOVEN 2026

We’re thrilled to confirm that award-winning production company Blur Studio is joining us this year during The Art Department. Blur is known for producing the thirteen-time Emmy winning Netflix anthology, Love, Death + Robots and Prime Video’s visionary series Secret Level.

Founded in 1995 by Tim Miller, Blur was built as a haven for animators and artists to collaborate freely and shape their own creative paths. What began as a bold idea has grown into a production studio known for pushing boundaries of storytelling across game cinematics, commercials, feature films, and original IP.

We’ll be joined by creative director Franck Balson. Franck joined Blur Studio in 2007 as a layout artist, working on video game cinematics for titles including Tomb Raider, Warhammer, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, and Far Cry. He soon went on to lead the studio’s layout department. His design and editorial sensibilities led him to oversee the creation of the opening title sequence for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, directed by David Fincher, as well as the opening sequence for Tim Miller’s Deadpool.

In 2018, Franck became the creative director of Blur Studio. He now directs select projects, including short films for Emmy Award-winning series such as Netflix’s Love, Death & Robots and Amazon’s Secret Level.
