Professionally, Daniel works mainly as a sketch artist and illustrator in advertising where he helps visualizing key art for film, TV, streaming and video games. Personally he draws or paint whatever fits his mood. Daniel’s latest Kickstarter campaign ‘DAYA’ is a collection of his sketches and paintings from the last few years. In his spare time, Daniel mostly draws women.
Frank Frazetta and Alphonse Mucha were two of his biggest inspirations when he grew up. Frazetta’s illustration of fierce women and warriors triggered Daniel and they became his fascination. He wants his paintings to tell a story. People need to get the feeling that his drawing is part of a storyline: something happened before and something can happen after. An intriguing perspective and we can’t wait for Daniel to share his own story in this edition of The Book Club!
