We have four creators lined up! Animation director and moderator Mackenzie Ficham will take a deep dive into their work and practice.
Eva Toorenent is a freelance artist and illustrator who specializes in fantasy, surreal, and imaginative art. She resides in Zandvoort, where she draws inspiration from the local history and nature. Alongside her commissioned projects for clients such as Wacom, 21-Draw, US Games, Jora Vision, Folk Film, and De Duystere Markt, Eva also creates pop-surrealist paintings that are showcased in international galleries, including Haven Gallery, Arch Enemy Arts, and WOW X WOW Gallery, among others.
Sam Kaufmann is an illustrator, merch designer and sometimes comic artist from Tilburg, the Netherlands. As a huge nerd obsessed with anything fantasy, she likes to spend her days drawing cool wizards, silly goblins and epic knights. Always on a quest to tell stories and make people laugh, and if she can do that through her art, all the better. Sometimes this leads her back to the real world, where you can find her teaching classes and workshops, tabling at conventions or napping in the sunshine.
Nahuel Garcia is a motion designer and animation director based in Utrecht, The Netherlands. He has a great passion for animation and always searching for new ways to give his work an impressive look. Each project is an opportunity to blow someone’s mind.
Deanne Warnaar graduated in illustration and animation at St. Joost, School Of Art And Design in Breda, with a strong preference towards animation. Her favorite way to animate is with 2D frame by frame animation, in the shape of dreamy, imaginative stories. She hopes to entertain her audience, to inspire them and preferably confuse them a tiny bit. Most of all, she would love to offer them a little distraction from their daily lives.
