FILMHELPDESK #24: WILKE GEURDS

Wilke Geurds (27) is a documentary maker, photographer and occasional podcaster with background in visual anthropology and a master’s degree in Documentary and Fiction. She was active at the Leiden International Film Festival and photographed for Movies that Matter and the Netherlands Film Festival.
She knows from her own experience how challenging it is to find a place in the film world as a starting filmmaker and is therefore committed to VERS, the association for new film and television makers. She has been active within VERS and will take on the role of chairperson this autumn.
