Afan Zeng is an illustrator and animator from China. She graduated with a Master degree in Animation at the MIVC St. Joost School of Art and Design in 2023.
Currently Afan has been growing her freelance practice beside developing her personal projects.
Afan loves creating fantasy worlds inspired by my emotions and senses, where she conjures characters that do not exist in reality. They have freedom to create their own stories, unique experiences and adventures in this world.
Afan aims to light up people’s hearts with the worlds she creates. As an artist, she likes to explore the situations that spring in her mixed feelings and emotions.
During the first edition of Playgrounds International Film Festival, her project won the Best Animation Pitch Award.
Afan has proudly been selected to take part in the Next Talent Program of 2025. We can’t wait to find out more about her journey!
