Saber Aidarus is the creator of the online animated series SaberOH!. For this series, he produces original animated comedy sketches that he writes, draws, and voices himself. His work is inspired by the cartoons he grew up with, everyday life, and his Somali roots, which he translates into relatable and humorous characters. Alongside his own projects, Saber also works as a social creative, developing and directing online campaigns for various brands.
In his talk, Saber will share how he built his own animated series, SaberOH!, through social media. He’ll talk about his creative process: the development of characters, idea testing through short-form videos, and growing an audience. He’ll also explain how an online community can support new opportunities beyond digital content like his card game Dulmi!
