Sem (15) is a fan of YouTuber Wesley. When Sem accidentally films his idol’s angry outburst, he uses the footage to blackmail himself into Wesley’s life. His hope for a forced friendship with Wesley slowly but surely turns into something more sinister.
This film is created within the framework of Telefilm in coproduction with Avrotros.

Videodrome by David Cronenberg
When Max Renn (James Woods) is searching for sleazy programs for a cable television channel, he stumbles upon the show Videodrome, in which people are tortured and killed on camera. Max becomes obsessed, and as he continues his investigation, it turns out that Videodrome is controlling and manipulating his brain to such an extent that Max gradually transforms into a human video recorder: a fusion of man and machine, of hardware and software. Shortly: video kills our free will.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind by Steven Spielberg
Amidst a series of inexplicable events, Roy Neary (Richard Dreyfuss) sees a UFO on a deserted road while investigating a large-scale power outage. After this experience, he becomes increasingly obsessed with UFOs and extraterrestrial life. He distances himself further and further from his wife and children, but also gets closer to the investigations being carries out by scientists, military personnel and other survivors of encounters who are trying to communicate with the mysterious extraterrestrial presence.
Spielberg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind is a movie which takes the storyline and themes of earlier films and enriches them with the latest developments in film and space technology of the time.

In acid rain-plagued Los Angeles, Blade Runner Rick Deckard hunts down lifelike androids that have reached the end of their service life. If these replicants live longer than Four years, they become too attached to life and become useless; after all, in the overpopulated urban jungle, humanoid robots must of the dirty work without complaint. They must not become too human, let alone develop a will of their won. Dutch actor Rutger Hauer made his breakthrough in the US in 1982 with his iconic role as a replicant.
