Eva Heijnen is a hybrid maker that was trained as an actress at ArtEZ (NL), Lee Strasberg (NYC) and Stella Adler (LA). She spent years on stage at Internationaal Theater Amsterdam.
With her collective Stormvogels, Eva creates interactive theatre experiences where the audience makes the choices and faces the consequences.
In 2022, she moved into writing and directing for film. Her debut short Hot Tub Suicide premiered at the Netherlands Film Festival. Her latest work, Time Ripple, is an interactive film installation blending cinematic storytelling with game logic. It will premiere at Cinekid Festival in 2025.
Eva’s work blends playfulness with precision, confronting tough themes with empathy and edge. She is currently exploring how AI and XR can be used not just to tell stories, but to let audiences shape them.
