PUCK PAASSEN

animator, illustrator, and graphic designer

Puck Paassen is a frame-by-frame animator, illustrator, and graphic designer based in Breda, the Netherlands.

She aims to make certain topics more discussable, or at least more comfortable by balancing serious themes with a generous dose of (adult) humour.

Puck is known for her independently-minded (read; stubborn) approach to animation and storytelling. Her work usually has an edgy side to it, to keep it unconventional yet approachable–with a recognisable signature vibe, instantly making one think “hey, that’s Patjakker!”
As a freelance visual designer, she’s passionate about both illustrated and animated storytelling.

She’s a light-hearted and accessible activist and normalises important topics through all kinds of media. Her focus lies mainly on issues affecting young adults, diversity, and feminism. She wants to make certain topics more discussable, or at least more comfortable, and believes that that can be achieved through entertainment.

Puck has proudly been selected to take part in the Next Talent Program of 2025. We can’t wait to find out more about her journey!
